Overview

"Solstice at Selden" December 21st, Saturday
Come and celebrate Winter Solstice and listen to traditional Navajo coyote and winter stories by a warm campfire!
Our Native guide will weave the stories of the old ones at Fort Seldon. We will host the story telling at Fort Selden, under the camp shelter with the fireplace roaring. Bench sitting at the picnic tables.
Enjoy hot coffee, hot chocolate and hot teas with Holiday Cookies under the shelter.
This is a fascinating, 2- hour story telling with time for any questions!
If you would like to enjoy a glass of wine or even do a wine tasting before the program starts, you can park at the parking lot of Fort Selden and just walk across the street to Fort Selden Winery. (Wine fees not included from Winery in ticket cost. No children allowed at the winery.)
If you want to partake at the winery, just meet us there at 1:00pm for one hour.
Then we will walk back over, (very short walk!), to fort Selden and get comfortable at the picnic tables to hear the program at 2:00pm-4:00pm.
Added bonus, Fort Selden will be having their famous luminarias lighting up the fort's pathways and old parade grounds starting at 5:00pm.
(After our program, if you wish to attend the Lighting show, you will exit the park and return at 5:00pm and pay their entrance fee of $7.00 dollars per person. You won't have to pay a parking fee because we include that in our ticketing for our event!)
